We've see rain across the plains and snow in the mountains this Wednesday. Temperatures have been chilly, with highs only in the 40s this afternoon in Denver.

There is a chance for light snow showers across portions of the metro-area overnight, as lows fall to the low 30s.

The mountains however, will see some some significant snow totals with this minor system. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until midnight tonight for the mountains of Summit county, The Mosquito Range, and the southern Front Range Foothills for around 4-10 inches of snow accumulation.

Around 1 to 2 inches can be expected along the Palmer Divide through early Thursday morning. The Denver area is expected to see little to no snow accumulation, and mainly just wet roadways.

Skies will quickly clear out on Thursday. It'll be chilly, with highs in the 40s, but plenty of sunshine.

Milder and dry weather settles in through the weekend, with highs in the mid-50s Friday and near 60 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.
