We know many are struggling to make ends meet, and as we enter the holiday season, that struggle can be even more difficult. That is why Denver7 is teaming up with Safeway to make it easy for you to help families in need in our community.
With Holiday Helpings, you can make a quick and easy donation right at the checkout at any Safeway store.
Here’s how it works: While shopping for groceries at your neighborhood Safeway store, you can round up your purchase by adding $1, $3 or $5 at checkout. The money raised stays local, with each Safeway store selecting a nonprofit of its choice to benefit. All donations are turned into $50 grocery gift cards that are distributed to and through the selected nonprofits. Last year’s Holiday Helpings campaign was a big success, raising $1.8 million.
